MLA is the Founder Chairman of the Trust.The trust undertakes a number of social service activities such as financial assistance for economically poor students for his/her studies & clothes to the poor pupils, scholarships and fee concession to students,medical and financial aid to the old and poor etc.The trust renders services in educational,social and cultural fields. The trust has over 35 years of service in the field of education.

In the quiet lanes of Kollam, where the rhythm of daily life is simple yet unyielding, a young Younus Kunju learned early the lessons of resilience. Life's modest beginnings were his classroom; adversity, his tutor. From these early experiences emerged a conviction that true purpose lies not in personal comfort, but in the elevation of others. What began as a private resolve would, in time, blossom into a life of public consequence.

It was in Kolloorvila that Dr. Kunju first made his mark with quiet yet decisive courage. There, he organised the solemnisation of marriages for underprivileged women, a pioneering initiative, the first of its kind in Kerala. Beyond ceremony, it was a restoration of dignity, a public affirmation that compassion, when enacted, can reshape lives. Such gestures became emblematic of his approach: thoughtful, deliberate, and deeply human.

Education became the canvas upon which his vision truly took form. Recognising knowledge as society's most transformative force, he ensured that students from disadvantaged backgrounds could pursue engineering studies, reserving forty-two seats each year — ten per cent of the intake, and providing scholarships, resources, and mentorship to sustain their journey. Under his stewardship, classrooms and laboratories were more than sites of instruction; they became spaces where intellect was honed, character cultivated, and civic responsibility instilled. As he has often said, “To teach is to shape the future; to guide is to illuminate the path.”

Yet Dr. Kunju's influence was never confined to academic walls. He nurtured innovation, fostered research, and strengthened industry partnerships, ensuring that graduates were prepared to navigate a world in constant flux. Equally, he devoted himself to social cohesion, bringing together leaders of diverse communities, fostering dialogue and harmony, guided by a belief that progress cannot exist without peace, nor knowledge without ethics.

Honours followed naturally , the Rajiv Gandhi Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award for Educational Excellence from IEDRA, and many more , yet it is not accolades that define him, but the enduring lives he has transformed, the communities he has uplifted, and the institutions he has nurtured.
