DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

2025-26

The District Level Round of the Power Quiz Competition 2025–26, organized by the KSEB Officer’s Association in collaboration with the EEE Association We Volte, was hosted by Younus College of Engineering and Technology (YCET). The event was jointly coordinated by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, YCET.

The programme was carried out smoothly, with active participation from students representing various institutions across the district.

A total of six teams representing various colleges were qualified for the second round, .The YCET team, comprising Amal Krishnan U S(S5 EEE) and Martin (S1 EEE), secured the fourth position in the competition. Prizes were distributed by Dr. Rag R L, Principal, YCET.

Prof. Hafsah N S,Asst. Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics and Mr.Ratheesh Kumar served as the department coordinators for the event.

Circuit Debugging Competitions to sharpen students’ problem-solving skills
Participation in KSEB State-Level Quiz Competitions
Women Empowerment Programmes to promote inclusivity and leadership among female students
General Wiring Awareness Programmes for the public, aimed at improving electrical safety knowledge

In addition, students actively participate in various events under professional bodies such as IEEE, the Energy Management Cell, and other technical forums, fostering professional development and social responsibility.
