ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE


The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted to address issues related to ragging and to ensure the maintenance of discipline among students within the College campus. The Committee is responsible for preventing ragging, promoting a safe and respectful environment, and taking appropriate action in cases of misconduct.

The composition of the Committee is presented in Table.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee

  • To ensure a ragging-free campus by preventing ragging activities within the college premises, hostels, canteen, college buses, and other areas where students assemble.
  • To convene an immediate meeting upon receiving any complaint or information regarding ragging and to conduct a preliminary inquiry, preparing a detailed report of the findings.
  • To report confirmed incidents of ragging to the Police authorities as per statutory requirements.
  • To recommend appropriate disciplinary action against students found guilty, based on the nature and severity of the offence.
  • To initiate actions in accordance with Notification No. 37-3/Legal/All India Council for Technical Education/2009 dated 25-03-2009 issued by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
  • To inform the Principal and the College Council of the incident, along with the recommended actions, immediately after its occurrence and to provide periodic updates on the case status.
  • To ensure that the actions taken serve as a strong deterrent, reinforcing that ragging is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with seriously.
  • To oversee and monitor discipline-related matters within the College.
