Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre(IEDC)

Younus College of Engineering and Technology has a dynamic Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) under Kerala Startup Mission in August 2015.

The primary objective of the IEDC is to establish an institutional mechanism to nurture and promote an entrepreneurial culture among students. The cell encourages innovation, creativity, and startup initiatives by providing a structured platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs. IEDC enables students to:

Present innovative ideas in various idea pitching competitions.
Participate in boot camps and startup-related programmes.
Interact with successful entrepreneurs and industry mentors.
Transform innovative concepts into viable business models.

IEDC Facilities

The college provides a dedicated workspace under IEDC to support innovation and entrepreneurial activities. The facilities include:

Computer systems with internet connectivity
Dedicated space for discussion, brainstorming, and ideation
Access to technical resources for skill enhancement
After-college working space for students to develop projects and startup ideas

Additionally, the institution has established an Innovation House, named YCET I HUB, an extended ecosystem where pre-incubated startups can utilize the infrastructure for product development, prototype building, and business validation.
