The Additional Skill Acquisition Programme(ASAP) is a key initiative under the State Skill Development Programme of the Government of Kerala.Implemented through a collaborative effort of the Departments of Higher Education, General Education, Labour, and Local Self Government, the programme seeks to strengthen the state’s skilled workforce by equipping students with industry - relevant competencies.ASAP focuses on bridging the gap between academic learning and evolving industry demands, preparing a new generation of professionally skilled and future - ready graduates.

Younus College of Engineering and Technology serves as the only ASAP centre in Kollam district, offering specialised training and certification programmes for students.In collaboration with IIT Madras, the centre provides learning opportunities in emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and other future technologies, enabling students to enhance their technical capabilities and remain aligned with the evolving landscape of modern industry.
